Un d\u2019ells ens diu que <strong>ajuden en el <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/26310198\"><strong>tractament de les malalties hep\u00e0tiques<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0perqu\u00e8 ofereixen propietats que augmenten la bilis i redueixen els l\u00edpids.<\/h3>\n<p>No \u00e9s potser dels aliments que gaudeixen de m\u00e9s seguidors i potser \u00e9s per la seva aparen\u00e7a i els seus p\u00e8tals durs i espinosos, que ens dificulten l\u2019acc\u00e9s a la part m\u00e9s gustosa, el cor. Malgrat tot, la carxofa, un producte t\u00edpic d\u2019hivern, \u00e9s altament vers\u00e0til i molt rica en interessants nutrients. Tot i que hi ha nombroses varietats de carxofes, que varien de mida, color (del verd fosc al p\u00farpura) i forma (de grans esferes a cilindres llargs i ovalats), totes comparteixen aspecte: fulls externs espinosos que \u00e9s millor eliminar abans de menjar.<\/p>\n<p>Aquesta verdura est\u00e0 repleta d\u2019interessants nutrients:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1) S\u00f3n una excel\u00b7lent font de fibra<\/strong>: una carxofa mitjana cont\u00e9 uns 10 grams de fibra, el que ajuda a promoure el moviment intestinal regular i alleuja trastorns digestius com diarrea i estrenyiment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2) Contenen polifenols<\/strong>: s\u00f3n compostos que ajuden a prevenir malalties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3) S\u00f3n\u00a0molt\u00a0riques en antioxidants antiinflamatoris<\/strong>: en un estudi realitzat pel\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedaily.com\/releases\/2004\/06\/040617080908.htm\">Departament d\u2019Agricultura<\/a>\u00a0dels Estats Units (USDA), els experts van determinar que les carxofes s\u00f3n una de les m\u00e9s importants verdures en termes d\u2019antioxidants (les situen en el n\u00famero 7 en la llista dels 20 millors aliments rics en antioxidants). En un estudi publicat a l\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\/ajcn\/article\/84\/1\/95\/4633004\"><em>American Journal of Clinical Nutrition<\/em><\/a>, es van classificar les carxofes com fins i tot m\u00e9s altes en antioxidants que la xocolata negra, els nabius i el vi negre.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4) Contenen vitamina C<\/strong>: el consum regular d\u2019aliments rics en aquesta vitamina ajuda al cos a desenvolupar resist\u00e8ncia contra agents infecciosos i a eliminar els radicals lliures nocius.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5) S\u00f3n riques en vitamina K<\/strong>: aquesta vitamina juga un paper fonamental en la salut \u00f2ssia al promoure la formaci\u00f3 d\u2019os. A m\u00e9s a m\u00e9s, uns nivells adequats d\u2019aquesta vitamina en l\u2019alimentaci\u00f3 ajuden a limitar el dany neuronal en el cervell.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6) Altes en potassi<\/strong>: \u00e9s un component important que ajuda a controlar la freq\u00fc\u00e8ncia card\u00edaca i la pressi\u00f3 arterial al contrarestar els efectes del sodi.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7) Contenen \u00e0cid f\u00f2lic<\/strong>: l\u2019\u00e0cid f\u00f2lic, o vitamina B9, actua com a cofactor d\u2019enzims involucrats en la s\u00edntesi d\u2019ADN. Els estudis cient\u00edfics han demostrat que els nivells adequats de folats en l\u2019alimentaci\u00f3 durant el per\u00edode previ a la concepci\u00f3 i durant els primer mesos de l\u2019embar\u00e0s poden ajudar a prevenir defectes del tub neural en el nad\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>Si b\u00e9 el cort de les carxofes \u00e9s la part m\u00e9s consumida, <strong>\u00e9s important no menysprear els fulls <\/strong>amb molta rapidesa perqu\u00e8 \u00e9s en realitat on s\u2019emmagatzemen molts dels nutrients que hem mencionat. De fet, molts dels suplements d\u2019extracte de carxofa, molt populars en els \u00faltims anys, es deriven en gran mesura dels antioxidants i fitonutrients que es troben en els fulls d\u2019aquesta verdura.<\/p>\n<h3>Aix\u00ed ens beneficia el consum de carxofes<\/h3>\n<p>La ci\u00e8ncia est\u00e0 del costat de les carxofes i els hi atorga importants beneficis sobre la salut. Un d\u2019ells ens diu que <strong>ajuden en el <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/26310198\"><strong>tractament de les malalties hep\u00e0tiques<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0perqu\u00e8 ofereixen propietats que augmenten la bilis i redueixen els l\u00edpids. A m\u00e9s a m\u00e9s, els antioxidants com cinarina ajuden a alleujar el dany de les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules hep\u00e0tiques per destruir toxines m\u00e9s nocives en el cos.<\/p>\n<p>La investigaci\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 defensa les carxofes com <strong>un important aliment a l\u2019hora de reduir els <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedaily.com\/releases\/2008\/07\/080702170607.htm\"><strong>nivells de colesterol<\/strong><\/a>. Els nutrients antioxidants com la vitamina C i la vitamina E presents a les carxofes milloren de manera significativa la salut digestiva i, en conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncia, tenen efectes positius en els nivells de colesterol en la sang.<\/p>\n<p>Un altre paper fonamental de les carxofes \u00e9s el de <strong>reduir els s\u00edmptomes inflamatoris de l\u2019artritis inflamat\u00f2ria i <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eldiario.es\/consumoclaro\/cuidarse\/ataques-gota-precauciones-verano_0_919008866.html\"><strong>la gota<\/strong><\/a>, un problema de les articulacions que pot ser dolor\u00f3s i que apareix quan hi ha un exc\u00e9s de vidres d\u2019urat monos\u00f2dic en el cos. La prevenci\u00f3 i el tractament d\u2019aquesta malaltia requereixen el consum diari de fibra.<\/p>\n<p>I la carxofa ens <strong>aporta fibra en altes quantitats, preveu el dany i la disfunci\u00f3 articulars<\/strong>. Una carxofa de mida mitjana proporciona unes 60 calories i poc m\u00e9s de 10 grams de fibra, o el 41% del valor diari recomanat. Alguns dels jugadors estrella de les carxofes s\u00f3n, com hem comentat, els antioxidants i, en concret, els polifenols, que prometen propietats quimiopreventives.<\/p>\n<p>Aix\u00f2 vol dir que <strong>poden exercir un <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC4477242\/\"><strong>paper important en la prevenci\u00f3 del c\u00e0ncer<\/strong><\/a>. S\u2019ha demostrat que les propietats de la carxofa poden causar la mort cel\u00b7lular programada en les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules cancer\u00edgenes, el que es denomina ap\u00f2ptosi, i aturar la formaci\u00f3 de noves c\u00e8l\u00b7lules cancer\u00edgenes.
